April 23 saw the first of the three scheduled TeamPCF socials held at Holme Fen Fishery. We think we're correct in saying that this must be our 8th year - which makes for around 24 socials in total, all of which the money raised goes to charity. We can safely say that's more than £10K+ raised for worthy causes - just from angling.
How did the social go?
Over the two day period there were several fish caught all coming to rigs baited with Premium Carp Food. Two fish were caught from The Meadows and five from Poachers Pool. It was Paul and Nigel Mitchell who managed to catch all five fish from Poachers with a combined total weights of 89lb 14oz - well done chaps!
The biggest fish of the weekend fell to Scott Ford, a mirror of 36lb 2oz who earned this socials 'Stephen Dorman Memorial Trophy'.
Who are we supporting in 2023
This years chosen charity is The Alzheimer’s Society which I'm sure like many of our team members either has, or could potentially be supporting someone close to us at some stage in our lives. They do fantastic work and we're proud to have raised £650+ from this social alone to put towards their efforts.

As usual it takes a few dedicated people to make sure these socials go as planned and without problems. We'd like to thank Martin and Mike at Holme Fen Fishery for hosting us again this year. Adam Lowbridge (BBQ King) for once again putting on some fantastic grub. Steve Grantham who without asking is willing to pitch in and last but not least our very own Mark Horspool who not only has the thankless task of sorting out everyones places but does so much on the day too. Finally a massive thanks to all members who have supported PCF in raising money for this socials chosen charity The Alzheimer’s Society.
