Spring has officially sprung and down at Teakettle Fisheries the carp have woken up and taken to their regular patrol patterns. Those who fish this venue regularly and have spent enough time figuring these out - can reap the rewards.
Putting in the time...
One such syndicate member is Andy Maclaren, who has caught his fair share of the carp fishing venues top fish. More recently Andy has bagged himself the top fish for Thorney Mere!
A carp named 'Hadders' has long been Thorney Meres largest resident and from my records doesn't get caught all too often. Last I heard it was caught around the 37-38lb mark.
A new lake record
Andy had just finished a night shift and thought he'd pop down to Teakettle Fisheries for a night session. It was during this night he bagged Hadders at an impressive 40lb! This is not only Thorneys largest carp but first to push over 40lb.
We'd like to congratulate Andy on his capture knowing how much time he puts in on the lake he really does deserve it. Well done mate!
